05-Apr-2011 Inviting 5 Yrs Olds to join RAD Pre-Primary Program
Dear Parents,
We would like to invite students who are 5 years old into Pre Primary which is the first level taught in the Royal Academy of Dance program (RAD). The RAD program is a prestigious training syllabi for classical ballet which is taught in 80 different countries and recognised internationally. The Pre Primary learn exercises which are fun through the use of imagery, but structured to introduce students to the joys and disciplines of dance. Here is an excerpt from the Royal Academy of Dance website:
The syllabi prepare students for a successful transition to ballet and other dance genres at higher levels.
In both Pre-Primary in Dance and Primary in Dance, students, through participation and practice will be able to:
1) articulate parts of the body

, 4) demonstrate control.
5) demonstrate co-ordination
6) demonstrate elevation.
7) demonstrate use of appropriate movement dynamics.
8) respond to the elements of music.

.

The Pre Primary take a Class Award toward the end of March in which an examiner will asses them on their technique, performance, and musicality. Last year we had 10 students and we are very proud to say that all 10 students passed their first Class Award successfully. The skills and expression that these students learn also benefit their performing skills. People were astounded with this group with how well they performed in the recital. We would like to invite students that have a fun personality, can focus, take corrections, and love to dance! We currently only have 8 spots available so if you are interested please respond at your earliest convenience.
Thank You,
Royal Dance Academy
